Another Feminist

I have revised my feminist paper.  My professor’s initial comments are pretty positive, though I did have a few minor errors that I have fixed.  This may be my favorite paper.  I thoroughly enjoyed writing on the subject of women and views of women on murder.  It’s an interesting topic that captured my attention for awhile.  Now to see how the second draft is received.

First Draft Done

The first draft of the Feminist paper is officially done.  For now…  All things considered, I really enjoyed my paper.  Hopefully, it meets the requirements and actually looks at Trifles in a feminine light.  I wish I went a little deeper in the murder bit of the play, but I think I did a decent job on the stereotypes of women and how Glaspell analyzed them.  We shall see.  In the end, my paper came to ten pages.  I’m pretty proud of my process folder so far.  It just keeps on growing.

Nearing the End

The first real draft of my feminist paper is almost done.  There is just one more source I need to add to provide more of a feminist reading to Trifles.  After that, it will just be another wave of polishing and editing.  So far, it seems to be going well.  Once I sat down with my soundtrack playlist, the paper really hit off.  Because our professor extended the deadline of the paper, I slowed down a bit to properly form the paper.  Hopefully, it all works out.  I enjoy my topic and writing about how the women deal with the men’s patronizing.  Now to finish it and turn it in.

Feminist Feels

After reading the stories from the anthology, some for a second or third time since high school, I have chosen to analyze Trifles for my feminist paper.  The play has always interested me.  When I first read it, I enjoyed the fact that the “criminal” was a woman who sought to end the abuse she was enduring.  Victorian women put up with so much in their times.  Women still do though less quietly.  My main focus is how Trifles shows the stereotypes of women and plays with the idea of women and murder.  I’ve scrounged up a couple of solid sources and written my proposal.  Now all I have to do is finish typing up my first draft.
